This is my road ride, the picture is of Jim Felt signing my top tube...a 2008 Felt F5 all carbon frame, Felt carbon fork and Felt carbon seatpost. It also features a Pro Concepts Carbon Handle Bar (which I highly recommend) 100% Shimano 6600 Ultegra drive train (triple which I hate) and Ultergra 6700 11-28 cassette for climbing. I'm currently testing a set of 2010 Ritchey Carbon wheels (details to follow) with Ritchey race slick tires. I keep track of my rides with a Cateye CD-200W computer.

I can't believe that I'm just noticing what you wrote! You got Jim Felt to sign your freaking bike!!! Awesome!

Curious - did you do anything to the spot where he signed it? Did you apply any coating over his signature to help preserve it?

You know, I wish I had. I recently got a bit to aggressive with a bike was and damaged the autograph. My plan is to ask Jim Felt to touch up his own autograph at the 2010 Interbike show. After that, I am going to use a clear acrylic to put a protective coat on it.

This is a picture of my Cannondale road bike, my wife took a bunch of pictures of it when we were camping last summer and blew some up for posted size for my office.

If im importing this picture right, this is my brand new specialized 29er that just had its maiden voyage last night on a late late night ride. First specialized for me and now it makes 7 bikes from 7 different companies. Call me a slut but it seems as if all companies these days make atleast a few great rides. This has a mix of x-9 and x-7 components with dt swiss wheels, reba sl fork and most everything else is specialzed. Love it like the others!

Sweet! I love the elegant lines and simplicity of this hardtail.

What motivated you to make (I presume) the switch to a 29er? It'll be a shame to get this ride dirty..but please share some more pics and we'll all help you through the trauma!

It was a switch to a 29er. Ive always been slow to adapt to the newer trends, i guess do to the abundance of fads in our world these days, so this was a well thought out purchase. My first interest in 29ers wasnt from any article in the infinite mags i read but due to seeing andy applegate (ashevillevelosports.com) roll in his cannondale 29er into his studio as i waited for a bike fit. As i had never met andy previous to this long traveled bike fit (va beach to asheville), the bike was a great conversation starter due to the fact that i also had a cannondale mtn bike. In asking him what he thought of those monster wheels, his answer hit home instantly. "Smoooooth!" he told me. He continued to explain his riding style which seemed shockingly simliar to myself. Not the punchy type of rider with brilliant technical skills, but instead, a get em up rolling, maybe hit some bad lines, type guy that strives in high paced steady tempo rides. So months pass and i decide to get a cross bike instead to work on being a little more punchy and..........well to just blatantly have a kick ass time riding cross. After just a handful of times riding a cross bike on mild singletrack i see just how much the bigger wheels of even a cross bike make me feel faster and more confident. And simply after a couple more months of riding the cross bike i stumble over this nice new specialized 29er at my lbs. After a test ride and then an additional test ride on a fisher paragon i decided on the specialized. There were certainly advantages with both bikes over the other but in the end i liked the feel of the specialized more. I am a fan of gary fisher as i have a fisher(lemond) cross bike but im glad to be the proud owner of my very first specialized. Id love to say their will be more to come but i cannot make any promises as in the last 3 years ive bought or aquired 10 different bikes from 8 different companies(3 of them being giant bikes). And yes due to the white paint job i will be awefully bussy keeping it clean. Oh the trauma!
