Jay, My intial thoughts are to yes foam roll on the non cycling days, but I would get that confirmed by your doc or a trusted PT first. When was the last time you had a check in with the doc, or a…

Reviewing must be a natural reaction to post TdF depression :-) Lou was doing it in the century riders group too. While I am not a racer and my only motivation to go a little faster is to log less seat time on a century or move into longer Brevet r…

Main goal for the year was the 250km 2 day Ride to Conquor Cancer from Vancouver to Seattle. Gave me motivation to get out and ride, and doing it with a buddy meant we had an excuse to hang out together for hours away from our Significant Other. Ne…

Glad to hear you are feeling better! As far as smooth vs knobby surfaces, my initial thoughts are the knobbied surfaces may dig in a little more, but I know they are more expensive. I'd start with some tennis balls and the medicine ball and see how…

INTEGRATE100 1 Mother Nature NADA!!

I have been riding a lot and doing intervals aong with hill intervals. I have lost 10 pounds and a lot stronger. I enjoy the podcasts and all the information your guys supple. The cycling community is a great community.

Al -I'll never figure it out either. New PRs are great, but I think you'll probably be looking for a new one very soon - maybe that Metcalf Rd. climb? Seriously - what is next for you? I'm working towards a 4:45 century in September if all the planets line up. Thanks for your support! Keep counting kudos - Lou

Looks like we're neck and neck at Plus 3, although if Plochman's kid get's back on that skateboard we're both going to have to put in some serious miles.

I got a taste of 14% today - twice. It tasted of pain. I saw a lot of cross-training (i.e., bike pushing) going on.
