It is great to be a part of the veloreviews community!

Hi Al, I do have one question from the perspective of an aging bicycle commuter... This past year I have been adding a bicycle trailer and rapidly growing kindergartner to my commute at least one a w…

The Funk Question ?

Thanks Plouchman. Will try your method come summer. Or, to give my wife something to ponder, will shower with my helmet on.

The Funk Question ?

Plochman, Gotta ask... did you ever stop the funkificaton of your helmet? If so, what'd you end up doing?

The Velo Cast cycling podcast

Great posting about the VeloCast which is truly a wonderful production. Scoot and John come across as two sincere, down to earth, bicycle ENTHUSIASTS whose passion is very evident. It is one of the f…

Caption may not be necessary, bu a reply is... As I begin another day at work I’d just like to say … may I please live vicariously thru you? And I’m just a wee bit jealous.

Last known picture of the Veloreviews hat the day it was delivered, and the day it was hidden by the 3 year old culprit pictured. Will post a clearer picture once the hat is recovered … along with several other items of lesser value.

What we need here is proof! William, did you happen to record any of this on that bodice-cam? Jeff, pretty sure the Colnagos at your ranch along with a “24/7 well stocked open bar” will work in lieu of proof.

Okay, I took the plunge. Have to say, though, that I have taken a fair bit of grief from family and friends over my bike obsession and just can’t wait to hear what they have to say about my new favorite hat and killer stickers (watch out mini-van).…

Hi Stewart,
Boeing is big deal around here. Unfortunately there has been a bit of an exodus lately. Still a huge presence though. The weather is similar to the UK…can ride pretty much year around. This year was especially bicycle friendly. Nice website, by the way. I checked it out after listening to your interview on VeloReviews. It would be great to see Sqeaky Wheels. They are known around here for their “bike for pie” ride (I'm definitely doing it this year) and also are involved with the Cascade Club's Chilly Hilly season kickoff that just took place...that was a blast with over 6000 participants.

Hi Joey,
The wee brother [David Barker] is also a member of velo reviews, he has visited seattle as he was once in the Royal Air Force and worked on the Boeing Awax, he was sent on courses there told me the climate in the summer is like the UK. My wee brother rides a Trek Valencia so we may ride together at a couple of sportives this summer.

Hi Joey,
You have a cool looking bike club, wish i was a wee bit closer as i would enjoy a ride with you laddies and lassies. I have an old and new Giant which i use for the 20m return trip to school. The old Giant is a 1991 city, one of my collegues founf it abandoned so i gave it an overhall, 6 gears only sprayed it yellow and is realy fun to ride. My new Giant is a mini velo escape cost me new £250, i have used it for winter rides with the Verulam CC which is the club in St Albans. I plan to do a piece on the "squeeky Wheels" on the FRR site, My e/mail address is branxholme@hotmail.co.uk and twitter at funrunrobbie and of course the web site at www.funrunrobbie.co.uk

Ride safe

Hi there Stewart,
I only recently become a Podcast fanatic and was so happy to have discovered VeloCast and, of course, VeloReviews. My wife and I love Scotland …got married in Edinburgh. Hope to return someday. No racing yet, but would like to try once kids are old enough to join in and leave dad in the dust. I commute on a Giant Cypress and have Scott Speedster S10 for the fun days. Squeaky Wheels (http://www.squeakywheels.org/) is our local bike club.

Take care,

Joey
